The piping-hot Atlanta Dream are set to visit the Seattle Storm at Climate Pledge Arena ahead of the weekend. The visitors hope to stay hot while the hosts are hoping to bounce back from a loss. My Dream vs. Storm predictions will show you what to keep an eye on.

Here are my favorite WNBA picks for Friday, May 30 before tip-off at 10 p.m. ET tip.

Dream vs Storm predictions

My Dream vs Storm best bet: Dream +5 (-115 at bet365)

The Atlanta Dream are flying high as they look to secure their fourth consecutive win. Atlanta has covered in all three of its latest victories and is 4-2 against the spread on the season. That’s one of the WNBA’s best marks, which is impressive considering the absence of one key player.

Brittney Griner has missed two games with a left knee injury but is set to make her return to the hardwood ahead of the weekend. Griner intimidates players with her size as a rim protector and has favorable stats against Ezi Magbegor despite her 1-7 record in head-to-head matchups.

Griner is averaging 17.7 points on 56.1% shooting against the Storm forward. She’s a viable third option with two-way impact and can be one of the main reasons the Dream cover against one of the WNBA’s most stout defenses.

Dream vs Storm same-game parlay (SGP)

Dream +5

Allisha Gray Over 15.5 points

Allisha Gray Over 4.5 rebounds

Griner’s return to the lineup will be big, but Allisha Gray is the engine that makes everything go for the Dream. She’ll have to be aggressive against an opposing squad that excels at getting stops.

The Seattle Storm have long been a defensive force, but Gray’s gone over 15 points in six of her previous seven matchups against the Storm. The versatile guard is amid her best scoring season yet with a career-high 20.3 points per game. The Storm don’t foul a ton, but Gray thrives against physicality and is shooting 6.3 free throws per game. That’s ideal for a player converting 81.6% of her chances at the charity stripe.

Gray is also rebounding at a career-high rate. She’s averaging 5.3 boards per game and has gone over 4.5 in five of the six games she’s appeared in this season. Her contributions have helped make the Dream the WNBA’s best rebounding team so far this season. Bettors shouldn’t expect her to ease up now. Even against a squad that excels at preventing second-chance opportunities.
