Arlington Renegades vs St. Louis Battlehawks

Friday, 8:00 p.m. ET, FOX

 Renegades Battlehawks
+1.5 (-110) Spread -1.5 (-110)
+102 Moneyline -122
Over 40.5 (-118) Total Under 40.5 (-102)

These two teams met in Week 4 in Arlington, and the Renegades pulled out a 30-15 high-scoring win despite very little offensive yardage for either team. That was the game that saw Manny Wilkens get injured for the season, and Max Duggan struggled mightily in reserve for the St. Louis Battlehawks.

These are two of the best offenses in the UFL with the Renegades ranking fourth in scoring and the Battlehawks ranking first. They also rank third and fourth, respectively, in total yards. Duggan has greatly improved since that last performance against the Renegades and had 124 yards passing and 70 yards rushing with three total touchdowns last week in a 32-27 win over the Michigan Panthers.

The Renegades played great defense all year until last week, when they allowed 389 total yards and 37 points to the D.C. Defenders. The Battlehawks have scored at least 15 points in every game this year and have allowed at least 27 points in each of the last three games. This game should be a fun one with plenty of scoring. Give me the Over.

Pick: Over 42.5 (-118 at DraftKings)

Memphis Showboats vs Houston Roughnecks

Saturday, 12:00 p.m. ET, ABC

 Showboats Roughnecks
+3.5 (-108) Spread -3.5 (-112)
+170 Moneyline -205
Over 36.5 (-120) Total Under 36.5 (+100)

These teams met in Memphis in Week 3, and the Houston Roughnecks pulled out an 18-17 victory. In that game, both teams played a rotational quarterback system. However, despite four quarterbacks playing in that game, none of those four will start in this contest.

The Memphis Showboats started Dresser Winn for the first time last week and he led them to a shocking 24-20 overtime triumph over the Birmingham Stallions on the road. Meanwhile, Jalen McClendon has started two straight games for the Roughnecks and played well with a close loss to the Stallions and a dominating win over the San Antonio Brahmas.

The Showboats may have lost the last matchup at home, but they turned the ball over three times without forcing a turnover and still had the lead in the final seconds. With Winn starting at quarterback, they could be a completely different team, and I will gladly take this inflated spread here with them as underdogs.

Pick: Showboats +4.5 (-118 at DraftKings)

D.C. Defenders vs Michigan Panthers

Sunday, 12:00 p.m. ET, ESPN

 Defenders Panthers
+2.5 (-102) Spread -2.5 (-118)
+136 Moneyline -162
Over 42.5 (-105) Total Under 42.5 (-115)

The Defenders bounced back last week after their first loss of the season with a massive win over the Renegades to take control of the XFL Conference. The best passing offense in the league just continues to dominate with a 308-yard performance from Jordan Ta’amu last week. The Panthers are tied for the third-most passing touchdowns allowed this season.

However, the Panthers themselves have a great passing offense, with the second-best yardage total in the UFL. Bryce Perkins was 21 of 25 passing for 235 yards and two touchdowns last week despite the loss. It will be interesting to see if the Panthers quit their gameplan of playing two quarterbacks and just roll with the clearly better option in Perkins.

These are the second and third-best scoring offenses in the league and both just played extremely high-scoring games last week. I don’t expect 60 points again between these two teams, but they can certainly get into the high 40s pretty easily. I like the Over here.

Pick: Over 42.5 (-105 at DraftKings)

San Antonio Brahmas vs Birmingham Stallions

Sunday, 4:00 p.m. ET, FOX

Brahmas Stallions
+10 (-110) Spread -10 (-110)
+390 Moneyline -520
Over 36.5 (-112) Total Under 36.5 (-108)

Last year, this matchup was the UFL Championship game. This year, the Brahmas have struggled to even be competitive, and the Stallions have looked extremely vulnerable. The Brahmas have the worst offense in the UFL by both total yards and scoring.

Meanwhile, the Stallions have the best scoring defense in the UFL and the best rushing defense. The Brahmas will need to depend on Kellen Mond, who has struggled mightily in this league in his first season. Last week, he had 35 yards passing and an interception before getting benched. However, Jarrett Guarantano was not much better in relief, and he is questionable for this game.

This is a big spread, and the Stallions have not been anywhere close to their past selves this season. They have yet to even win a game by double-digits this season. However, I believe this is the spot for them to do just that and create some separation from the Panthers in the USFL Conference, while virtually ending the season for the Brahmas.

Pick: Stallions -10 (-110 at DraftKings)
