Fight analysis
David Onama is 6-2 in the UFC and is riding a four-fight win streak after beating Giga Chikadze by unanimous decision in April.
Meanwhile, Steve Garcia has won six in a row, and in his most recent fight, he defeated Calvin Kattar by unanimous decision. Garcia had an 85-26 edge in significant strikes against Kattar while knocking him down in the third round.
Onama will need to implement his wrestling if he wants to get the win, but Garcia has an 88% takedown defense and should be able to keep this standing up. On the feet, Garcia has slightly sharper striking with more finishing upside.
Onama is a better hammer than a nail, and I think he'll be on the back foot for much of the fight. We've seen him struggle with adversity in the past, and his hittable style will be exposed by Garcia who throws damaging shots.

Garcia was unable to finish the granite-chinned Kattar, but he did drop him, and his previous nine wins had come by way of KO/TKO. Onama has never been finished, but Garcia is the most dangerous striker he has faced.
