Who will win Davey Grant vs Elijah Smith: Smith
Smith is my pick. Grant remains a tough, high-volume striker, but at 40, he's facing a younger, faster, and considerably more explosive opponent.
Smith also has the wrestling and submission skills to exploit Grant's defensive shortcomings on the ground. Grant has survived plenty of difficult fights, but I don't see him keeping Smith on the outside for three rounds.
I expect Smith to close the distance, land the more damaging shots, and eventually overwhelm the veteran.

Davey Grant vs Elijah Smith tale of the tape
| Davey Grant | Elijah Smith | |
|---|---|---|
| 40 | Age | 24 |
| 5-foot-8 | Height | 5-foot-9 |
| Bantamweight | Weight Class | Bantamweight |
| 69 inches | Reach | 71 inches |
| 18-8 | Record | 10-1 |
| 4 | Wins by KO | 5 |
| 9 | Wins by submission | 2 |
Smith holds modest physical advantages, standing an inch taller with two inches of additional reach, but the 16-year age difference is considerably more significant.
Grant brings substantially more experience and nine career submission victories compared to Smith's two.
However, Smith is the younger, more explosive fighter and has demonstrated the ability to finish opponents with both his striking and grappling. His athletic advantages should make this a difficult matchup for the veteran.
