Movsar Evloev is my pick at UFC 333. Alex Volkanovski remains one of the greatest featherweights of all time, but at 38, it's becoming increasingly difficult for him to compete at the highest level.

He didn't look particularly convincing against Diego Lopes in their rematch, and Evloev is a more disciplined and technically refined opponent. Volkanovski is crafty enough to survive the early exchanges, but I expect Evloev to wear him down and gradually take over late.

Alexander Volkanovski vs Movsar Evloev top pick: Method of finish — Decision (73% Probability)

TOP PICK

This fight ending via decision is my top pick. Evloev isn't a finisher, and his style is predicated on exhausting opponents, controlling the pace, and winning rounds without taking unnecessary risks.

Volkanovski is too experienced and defensively skilled to be easily overwhelmed. The champion should have enough wrestling defense and scrambling ability to keep Evloev from dominating him on the mat, but maintaining that resistance over five rounds is another matter. Regardless of who wins, I expect this to be a tactical, competitive fight decided by the judges.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Movsar Evloev has won all 10 of his UFC fights by decision and averages 4.78 takedowns per 15 minutes.

Alexander Volkanovski vs Movsar Evloev prop: Evloev to win by decision (51% Probability)

Trade at Kalshi

Evloev by decision is my preferred prop. Volkanovski remains a brilliant tactician, but the athleticism and endurance needed to remain champion at 38 are becoming increasingly difficult to maintain.

Evloev has the discipline to avoid unnecessary risks and the conditioning to keep forcing Volkanovski to work. Evloev doesn't need to dominate or finish Volkanovski to take his title. He only needs to maintain his pace, capitalize on openings, and win the later rounds.

This combo backs Evloev to use his relentless wrestling and superior conditioning to take the featherweight title on the scorecards. Volkanovski's experience and defensive grappling should make him difficult to control, particularly early, but Evloev is patient enough to keep working without exposing himself to unnecessary risks.

As the fight progresses, I expect the constant takedown attempts and grappling exchanges to take their toll on the aging champion, allowing Evloev to separate himself in the championship rounds and earn the decision.

Odds as of 10-22.

Volkanovski is a narrow 51% favorite, reflecting just how competitive the market expects this championship fight to be. Interestingly, the decision market also leans toward the champion, with Volkanovski priced at 54% compared to Evloev's 44%.

Evloev has won all 10 of his UFC fights by decision, and I expect his relentless wrestling and superior conditioning to become increasingly important as the aging champion slows down.

Volkanovski brings vastly more championship experience and finishing ability with 13 knockouts among his 28 victories. However, Evloev's undefeated record and relentless wrestling present a different challenge for the aging champion.

Volkanovski remains an elite tactician, but Evloev's youth, cardio, and disciplined approach should become increasingly difficult to overcome as the fight progresses.
