One of the first big bets to be settled on Super Bowl Sunday is the length of the national anthem prop.

Charlie Puth is singing the Star-Spangled Banner at Levi’s Stadium today, and we will have the Over/Under results for how long his version went as soon as he is done belting out “Brave!”

How long did the Super Bowl national anthem go?

Get your cell phone stopwatch out! It’s time to find out how long this year’s Super Bowl national anthem went for.

The Over/Under on how long Puth’s version went for heading into the game was the following:

National Anthem Over/Under Bet99
116 seconds or more -120
Under 116 seconds -110

It has been tough to get a read on how long Puth’s version will last for considering there is not much history of him performing the anthem. Puth did an instrumental version five years ago, and it lasted just one minute and one second.

Super Bowl national anthem Over/Under

The Super Bowl national anthem Over/Under is one of the top novelty props for the Super Bowl each year. It’s right up there with the coin toss results and Gatorade color odds in terms of outside-the-box betting popularity.

Puth is expected to sing the national anthem at Levi’s Stadium around 6:24 p.m. ET today, just a few minutes before the Seahawks and Patriots kick off Super Bowl 60.

There has been some controversy over the years involving the length of the national anthem, including last year with Jon Batiste.

Most sportsbooks start their timer as soon as the singer belts out the phrase, “Oh say, can you see?” They stop their timer as soon as the singer is finished singing the word, “Brave.”

Using this method, Batiste’s version went for one minute and 59 seconds. This would have been a winner for Under bettors as the Over/Under was set at 120.5 at the best NFL betting sites.

Other books start timing as soon as the first musical note is performed. In Batiste’s version, you can hear a drum and a few notes on the piano before he begins singing. This added a few seconds on the Over at many sportsbooks.
