It's not the quarterfinal we expected at the FIFA Club World Cup, but it's one that features two teams that deserve to be here.

Both Fluminense and Al Hilal have turned heads every step of the way, but my Fluminense v Al Hilal predictions and FIFA Club World Cup free picks for Friday, July 4, expect the Brazilian side to punch their ticket into the semifinals.

Fluminense vs Al Hilal picks and predictions

My Fluminense vs Al Hilal best bet: Fluminense to qualify (+102 at Betano)

Both Fluminense and Al Hilal reached the quarter-finals at the Club World Cup without losing a match, each with two wins and two draws from their four matches.

Fluminense head into the confrontation with Al Hilal unbeaten in their last ten games in all competitions, winning seven and drawing three. Al Hilal are doing very well themselves. They lost only one of their last 14 outings and are now unbeaten in their previous nine.

Al Hilal are fresh from beating Manchester City in a thrilling match in the Round of 16, which they won 4-3 in extra time. Fluminense challenges Al Hilal's status as the most surprising giant-killer at this edition of the Club World Cup thanks to their 2-0 beating of Inter Milan.

Despite drawing 1-1 against Real Madrid in the group stage, then beating City in the Round of 16, Al Hilal faces attacking issues. This made them force an emergency move. Al Hilal announced the loan of Al Shabab's Abderrazak Hamdallah on Wednesday.

He immediately joined Al Hilal's training setup in the US and will be available for selection should manager Simone Inzaghi decide to use him. Al Hilal invested a lot of their physical strength in beating City. It looks unlikely to think they could repeat the performance against Fluminense after playing 120 minutes at such an intense level.

I will choose Fluminense to progress, also looking at the excellent return from Betano (+102). If you fancy goals, note that the over 2.5 stands at +105, while the over 3.5 sits at a juicy +255.

Fluminense vs Al Hilal same-game parlay (SGP)

Fluminense to qualify

Over 2.5 goals

Malcolm 1+ shots on target

I expect an open game, with lots of action at both ends. None of the teams has an interest in sitting back waiting, so I can rather see both looking to score.

Jhon Arias averages 3.3 shots in this tournament. I count on the Fluminense attacker to get at least one shot on target vs. Al Hilal. I'm also rooting for Brazilian forward Malcom to hit at least one shot on target in front of his fellow countrymen. The Al Hilal star sends 2.3 shots per game on average at the Club World Cup.
