Oettinger has been phenomenal in most of the playoff starts of his young career and will need to get back to form on Thursday if the Stars hope to live another day.
Meanwhile, Jamie Benn will have a hearing for his match penalty to determine his eligibility for Game 4. Aside from the physical danger of the play, the Stars captain faces criticism for the consequences of his actions in giving his team a chance to win.
Whether Benn is in the lineup or not, Dallas will have several areas to clean up heading into Thursday's contest.
The Stars are currently -125 favorites heading into Game 4. Only four teams in NHL history have come back from down 3-0 to win a series in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
