My Sabres vs. Flames predictions and NHL picks see Frost taking advantage of a strong matchup and finding the scoresheet on home soil.

Sabres vs Flames prediction

Sabres vs Flames Best bet: Morgan Frost Over 0.5 points (+110)

Morgan Frost continues to skate on the top line alongside Jonathan Huberdeau and Matt Coronato.

That trio has performed very well offensively, generating close to 40 shots and more than 3.5 goals per 60 minutes of 5-on-5 play. They should cause a lot of problems for the Buffalo Sabres, who rank fourth in pace and have given up more goals at 5-on-5 than any team in the NHL.

Ryan Huska will be able to get Frost and his top unit on the ice in more favorable matchups than if they were playing on the road, which is beneficial.

The power play spot also looks good. The Sabres rank Bottom-8 in limiting shots and expected goals on the penalty kill over the last 10 games. That’s another plus for Frost, who sits third on the Flames in power-play points while leading the way in high-danger chances generated.

Frost has produced six points over his last six games following a day off, with the Unders coming against Carolina and Utah — two stingy teams at limiting shots and chances.

He has a good chance of finding success against a high-paced Sabres team that can’t keep the puck out of the net.

Sabres vs Flames same-game parlay

Jonathan Huberdeau and Morgan Frost are attached at the hip, both skating on the top line and the No. 1 power play unit. Huberdeau is a playmaker first and has assisted on more Frost goals than anybody on the Flames this season.

Mackenzie Weeger has generated multiple shots on goal in 13 of 18 games after a day off, including eight of nine at home. The volume should be there against the Sabres, who have given up the seventh-most shots to blueliners this year.
