Our best NHL player props for Wednesday, April 22
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: Dan Vladar Over 22.5 saves
There was a serious pushback from the Pittsburgh Penguins during Game 2, with the Pens posting a 70.6% Corsi For percentage and 73.5% expected goals percentage at 5-on-5 in a losing effort.
Philadelphia Flyers goalie Dan Vladar was up to the task with a 27-save shutout that included 2.81 goals saved above expected (GSAE).
The Penguins should show up on time tonight with their season all but on the line, so I’m anticipating Pittsburgh approaching 30 shots again in Game 3, in addition to Vladar continuing to stand tall.

Prop #2: Jesper Wallstedt Over 23.5 saves
Minnesota Wild starter Jesper Wallstedt has been excellent to start the postseason with a .932 SV% and 1.53 GSAE, turning away 27 and 28 shots the past two games to soar Over this Game 3 total.
The Dallas Stars have been the better possession team at 5-on-5 with a 56.0% Corsi For percentage, too, so I’m anticipating Wallstedt to be busy enough to turn away 24 or more shots again tonight.
- Time: 9:30 p.m. ET
- Where to watch: TNT, Sportsnet 360
Prop #3: Evan Bouchard Over 2.5 shots
Don’t let the donut in Edmonton Oilers defenseman Evan Bouchard’s shot column fool you from Game 1. He recorded seven attempts while logging a monster 26:36 of ice time, including 3:57 with the man advantage.
Of course, Bouchard’s 221 shots ranked third among defensemen during the regular season, and he posted a tidy 55.3% Corsi For percentage at 5-on-5. I’m expecting three or more shots from the go-to blueliner tonight.
