We’ve got 11 games on the NHL betting slate tonight, including an Eastern Conference matchup between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Oliver Ekman-Larsson has been a consistent point producer for the Leafs lately, and I expect him to continue that trend and find the scoresheet for a ninth-straight game.

Find out why with my Maple Leafs vs. Penguins predictions and NHL picks for Saturday, November 29.

Maple Leafs vs Penguins prediction

Maple Leafs vs Penguins Best bet: Oliver Ekman-Larsson Over 0.5 assists (+125)

Both the Toronto Maple Leafs and Pittsburgh Penguins played Friday night and are on the second leg of a back-to-back.

With that, I’m expecting a sloppier game and a higher volume of offense, especially with both sides starting their backup goalies as well.

I’m betting that Leafs blue liner Oliver Ekman-Larsson gets himself involved, as he has all month long.

OEL has been the most consistent contributor from the blue line this season.

The Leafs' blue liner has 18 points through 24 games, and has collected at least one point in eight straight games, looking to make it nine in a row today.

He’s been elevated to a top pairing role for Toronto with Chris Tanev injured, and since then, he's seen his ice time rise from 20:43 to 22:22 minutes per night over his last 12 outings.

With that added ice time, he’s been producing offensively, collecting an assist in nine of his last 12 games to go over today’s posted total of 0.5. That’s a 75% hit rate, so the value at +125 seems too good to pass up.

Maple Leafs vs Penguins same-game parlay

I’ll also add John Tavares to go Over 2.5 shots tonight. Tavares leads the Leafs with 72 shots and has been consistently shooting the puck on net. The Leafs pivot is averaging three shots per game this season, going over tonight’s posted total nine times in his last 11 games.

For the final leg of my SGP, let’s add Matthew Knies to go Over 1.5 shots too. He had three shots last night, finding twine once. He’s gone over this posted total in four of his previous five games and has always seemed to produce against Pittsburgh, with five goals in seven games.

Maple Leafs vs Penguins SGP

  • Oliver Ekman-Larsson Over 0.5 assists
  • John Tavares Over 2.5 shots
  • Matthew Knies Over 1.5 shots
