The Winnipeg Jets have dropped three straight ahead of their Canadian showdown against the Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena on Tuesday, November 11, but my Jets vs. Canucks predictions expect Winnipeg to return to the win column tonight.

Jets vs Canucks prediction

Jets vs Canucks Best bet: Jets moneyline (-116)

The Winnipeg Jets have some underlying statistical concerns, with their 42.0 expected goals percentage at 5-on-5 the lowest in the league, alongside the sixth-highest PDO.

Still, back-to-back Vezina Trophy winner Connor Hellebuyck cures a lot of ills, and he’s been his usual standout self with a .922 SV%, 2.30 GAA and 12.91 goals saved above expected across his 11 starts.

The Vancouver Canucks have also allowed the seventh-most goals per game (3.41) and rank 31st in penalty-kill percentage, so there are serious defensive shortcomings.

Of course, No. 1 goalie Thatcher Demko also missed the past two games for “preventative maintenance.”

Even if Demko returns to the crease, I still like the Jets pulling out the road victory after dropping the first three of their current six-game road trip.

Jets vs Canucks same-game parlay

The Jets have been held to just two goals and an unsustainably low 2.5 team shooting percentage during their three-game losing streak despite generating 8.52 expected goals.

I expect improved puck luck for Winnipeg, and as highlighted, Vancouver is struggling to keep the puck out of its net.

Winnipeg's top center, Mark Scheifele, has piled up nine assists across his past eight games and picked up a helper in five of eight. I also value Scheifele taking 61.3% of his faceoffs in the offensive zone and jumping the boards with the No. 1 power-play unit.
