Early Ravens vs Cowboys spread pick: Cowboys +2.5
This pair of 1-1 teams has shown mixed results matching their records, with the Dallas Cowboys winning comfortably at home in Week 2, while the Baltimore Ravens blew a 17-9 home lead to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
Look-ahead lines have hovered between Baltimore -2.5 and -3.5, so this early spread hasn’t been adjusted significantly following Week 2.
As a result, my early lean is to take the points because the Ravens are still in transition mode with first-year head coach Jesse Minter and defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver.
Baltimore allowed Saints quarterback Tyler Shough to throw for 7.4 yards per attempt with a 79.4 completion percentage in Week 2, so I’m confident Cowboys QB Dak Prescott can hang enough points on the board to keep pace Sunday.
Prescott is second in success rate ahead of Monday Night Football in Week 2, after all.

Early Ravens vs Cowboys total pick: Over 52.5
This total is too low.
The Dallas offense ranks fourth in both EPA per play and offensive success rate, and Baltimore checks in sixth and third in the two highlighted metrics, respectively.
I also have no confidence in consistent stops from the Dallas defense, and the Cowboys' pass rush is a major concern after registering just a pair of sacks through two games.
Of course, Dallas has also surrendered the second-highest EPA per dropback and third-highest offensive success rate to start the year, so Baltimore QB Lamar Jackson (10.0 YPA and 10.9 aDoT) and running back Derrick Henry (5.3 rushing yards per carry) are going to have their say Sunday, too.
I expect this number to climb leading into Sunday.
