The Los Angeles Rams have plenty to prove on Monday night after their stunning Week 16 collapse. Standing in their way — and potentially the NFC’s No. 1 seed — are the Atlanta Falcons, who are playing for pride but enter off back-to-back wins.

Los Angeles heads into the penultimate game of the regular season as an 8-point favorite with a total of 49.5, and they could be without Davante Adams.

Enter tight end Colby Parkinson, who headlines my Rams vs. Falcons predictions and NFL picks for Monday, December 29.

Rams vs Falcons prediction

Rams vs Falcons best bet: Colby Parkinson Over 33.5 receiving yards (-110)

The Los Angeles Rams were already leaning heavily on tight-end personnel, but the Davante Adams injury pushed that approach into overdrive. Adams has been a non-participant in estimated practices this week, making his availability for Monday night more doubtful than probable.

Last week, Sean McVay deployed three-tight-end sets on an eye-popping 61% of snaps. Colby Parkinson, Davis Allen, and Terrance Ferguson all played at least 65% of the snaps and combined for 13 targets on 51 dropbacks. That usage makes the entire group intriguing from a props standpoint, but Parkinson stands out.

He’s coming off a quiet outing that burned some bettors, which should help keep his number in check. THE BLITZ projects him for over 4.5 catches and 47 receiving yards, well above his current lines. Parkinson led all Rams in snap share at 85% and should remain heavily involved in another indoor, must-win spot.

Indoor environments boost passing volume and efficiency, and with the Rams clearly committed to featuring their tight ends, Parkinson’s role sets up well. The Over 33.5 receiving yards is my preferred look, and the Over 3.5 receptions at -120 is also very playable.

Rams vs Falcons MNF same-game parlay

You can't go wrong backing any of the three Rams TEs at their current receptions/yardage props. The trio is going to see massive snap shares, and the position will likely see a third of the passes from Matthew Stafford.

McVay has talked about his advantage with extra tight ends on the field as it is tough for the defense to match, but the Adams injury (and Tyler Higbee) has turned the usage to 11.

Rams vs Falcons SGP

  • Colby Parkinson Over 3.5 receptions
  • Davis Allen Over 1.5 receptions
  • Terrance Ferguson Over 1.5 receptions

Our big-ticket SGP: Tight End Tease

I'm beefing this up with a Parkinson touchdown and the Overs on all three TEs' yardage totals.

Parkinson was one of the most bet on NFL players last week on Thursday night to score, as he came into that game with six TDs over his previous six games. I think he gets back on the TD wagon this week indoors, especially if Adams is away to hog the red-zone targets.

Rams vs Falcons SGP

  • Colby Parkinson anytime touchdown
  • Colby Parkinson Over 33.5 receiving yards
  • Terrance Ferguson Over 24.5 receiving yards
  • Davis Allen Over 18.5 receiving yards
