The Jacksonville Jaguars host the Carolina Panthers at EverBank Stadium, ending joint practices in North Florida between the two teams.

The AFC South champion Jaguars had an edge when the two squads shared the practice field, but Jacksonville is the home dog against Carolina.

My Panthers vs. Jaguars predictions and NFL picks trust what we saw on the field and point to the Jags to win on Friday, Aug. 21.

Who will win Panthers vs Jaguars: Jaguars

Kalshi probability: 45%

The Jacksonville Jaguars had the advantage over the Carolina Panthers in the joint practices.

At one point, quarterback Trevor Lawrence threw touchdown passes on three consecutive snaps, and the Jags’ red zone offense was nearly perfect, finding the end zone in goal line drills.

The Panthers struggled to stop Jaguars tight ends and running backs, with former Jags linebacker Devin Lloyd struggling against his old team on short routes and run plays.

The Carolina first-team offense continued its preseason slumber, struggling to move the ball against Jacksonville.

The Panthers left Bryce Young and the first-teamers in for one extra drive in last week’s preseason game, hoping to show some type of spark.

It didn’t help as Carolina's starters finished with three straight three-and-out drives, gaining a total of 12 yards.

Panthers vs Jaguars Over/Under pick: Under 37.5

The Panthers suffered at least seven sacks in the team periods of the joint practice, and the first team offense wasn’t able to get anything started in the early going. Receiver Tetairoa McMillan criticized the offense for “trying to be cute”.

The Jaguars scored 24 points in their preseason opener against a Saints team that was two games worse than the 8-9 Panthers last season and didn’t dress 37 of its players.

That scoring output came after a second-half rally from 14 points down. Jacksonville's defense, meanwhile, forced five three-and-outs in the Saints game, and New Orleans’ only two touchdowns were on drives of 28 yards or less, thanks to a turnover and long kick return.
