Early Panthers vs Falcons spread pick: Panthers +3.5
The Carolina Panthers have been horrendous over the last few seasons, but 2025 has given fans reasons for optimism. Carolina is currently 5-5, which puts them comfortably in second place in the NFC South. Before a disappointing loss to the Saints on Sunday, the Panthers had won four of their last five games.
When it comes to facing the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina already embarrassed them in Week 3, shutting out its divisional rivals in a 30-point win, evidently covering the spread with ease. The Panthers also took down Atlanta 44-38 in overtime last season.
The Panthers have a 6-4 ATS record this season, and they’re also 5-3 as an ATS underdog. While Carolina is just 2-3 on the road so far, the Falcons are a mess, and the visitors look like the better team right now. They’ll cover.
Early Panthers vs Falcons total pick: Under 42.5
While Carolina may be winning games, this isn't exactly an elite offensive team. Dave Canales’ squad ranks 28th in the NFL in points with 17.7 per contest. Atlanta isn’t much better, scoring 18.7 per game.
We’re also looking at two respectable defenses, both ranking around the middle of the pack in points allowed this season. There may be some weapons on both rosters, but I don't expect a high-scoring affair, and of course, the Under cashed in Week 3, with the Falcons failing to score a single point.
