Despite missing several key receiving options, Baker Mayfield played a strong game in Week 6 and led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a win over the San Francisco 49ers.

Conversely, the Detroit Lions suffered a double-digit loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Back home, the Lions offense - which scored just 17 points in Week 6 — should be fired up.

That’s why I’m targeting a pair of Lions to find success against Tampa Bay and a Buccaneers tight end who should continue to soak up targets with multiple teammates sidelined.

Check out the rest of my favorite bets with my Buccaneers vs. Lions player props and NFL picks for October 20.

Buccaneers vs Lions MNF props

Player Pick bet365
Lions Jahmyr Gibbs  Over 87.5 rushing + receiving yards -115
Lions Amon-Ra St. Brown Anytime touchdown -105
Buccaneers Cade Otton Over 39.5 receiving yards -110

Jahmyr Gibbs Over 87.5 rushing + receiving yards

-115 at bet365

In Week 6’s loss, Jahmyr Gibbs finished with his lowest yardage since Week 1. The electric back managed 65 yards on 17 carries and recorded a lone reception that went for no gain. In four games prior, he totaled 87, 97, 99 and 104 total yards.

This is a get-right game for Gibbs and the entire Detroit Lions offense. Expect him to get back on track as a receiver after recording multiple catches in every other game this season.

The Lions are 5.5-point favorites, meaning they could pull away late in the game and milk the clock with some additional Gibbs handoffs. He’s far too talented not to hit the Over on MNF.

Amon-Ra St. Brown anytime touchdown

-105 at bet365

Amon-Ra St. Brown got off to a hot start this season with six receiving touchdowns over the first four weeks of the season. He’s failed to find the end zone in each of the last two weeks, but I expect that to change in Week 7 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Detroit’s top receiver has 44 receptions for 452 yards on 51 targets. All of those marks lead the Lions’ receiving corps, and he should see plenty of looks at home, where he has excelled.

Of St. Brown’s six scores, five have come in Detroit’s two home games, and he’s found the endzone only once in four road contests. Detroit’s offense is lethal, and after stumbling against Kansas City last week, I expect it to return to form on Monday night.

Cade Otton Over 39.5 receiving yards

-110 at bet365

I’m not worried about the return of Mike Evans impacting Cade Otton’s receiving line. The Bucs will still be without Emeka Egbuka, Chris Godwin, and Bucky Irving - three of the team’s top receiving targets.

Over the last three weeks, Otton has racked up 15 targets and turned them into 12 receptions. He finished with only nine yards in Week 4, but he piled up 51 in Week 5 and 81 in Week 6.

With so few options available in the receiving game and facing an energized Detroit pass rush at home, expect Baker Mayfield to look for his big-bodied safety valve early and often. Otton should have no problem cracking 40 yards in this one.
