A four-yard gain on first down keeps the Bears guessing. Bucky Irving and Kenny Gainwell helped the Bucs rush for 324 yards in last week's shutout of the Falcons. If they can keep second down manageable, Baker Mayfield can throw off play-action while the linebackers still have to honor the run. That's valuable against a Bears defense that allows opponents to convert just 23.8% of third downs and got two tackles for loss from Jeffery Simmons in his Chicago debut. Left tackle Tristan Wirfs has no game designation after a toe injury, though receiver Emeka Egbuka remains questionable with a foot injury. Jason Logan backs +6.5 in his Buccaneers vs. Bears prediction, citing the Bucs' ability to control possession against a team coming off a Monday night game in Seattle.

Caleb Williams has thrown for 860 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions during the Bears' three-game winning streak. He gives the hosts a way to beat a Bucs defense that allows just 80 rushing yards per game. With edge rusher Yaya Diaby out, the Bucs need to keep Williams in the pocket on third down and make the Bears settle for field goals. One red-zone stop could decide both picks. Turn a Bears field goal into a touchdown in our 24-20 projection and the final becomes 28-20, enough for the Bears to cover and the game to clear 47.5.

D'Andre Swift got the ball when the Bears reached the 5 in Seattle. A 39-yard catch-and-run by Kalif Raymond set up one fourth-quarter score. An interception gave the Bears a short field on their next possession. Swift finished both drives with 5-yard touchdown runs. He had 27 carries for 69 yards and three touchdowns that night, giving him 10 rushing scores through eight games.

The Bucs allow just 80 rushing yards per game, so Swift’s best opportunity is another handoff near the goal line. Kyle Monangai is questionable with thumb and toe injuries, but NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports he’s expected to miss his fifth straight game. The Bears elevated Salvon Ahmed for depth on Saturday. If Monangai sits, Swift should get the first chance to finish drives inside the 5.

How our NFL AI predictions work

Our NFL AI predictions use a custom forecasting model built with GPT-6 Astra to project a final score for each matchup using historical scoring results and team-strength ratings. We review injuries and matchup news for the accompanying analysis.

The score forecasts are fixed before we compare them with the selected Kalshi spread and total to produce our ATS and Over/Under picks. Kalshi percentages are market quotes, separate from the score forecasts. Our touchdown pick is an AI-assisted editorial selection based on player usage and matchup research, not an output of the team-score model. We track results against the original selections and lines at time of publish.

We’ll continue updating the process as the season develops and publicly track every published score prediction, ATS pick, and Over/Under selection.

Odds and market lines are correct at the time of publishing and are subject to change.
