The NFL preseason reaches its final weekend with one last chance to test our NFL AI predictions before the games start to count.

I used a custom forecasting process with the latest version of ChatGPT to project the final score of all 16 games this week. The process incorporates current quarterback rotations, expected playing time, injuries, roster depth, preseason performance, joint-practice context, and matchup data before turning those projections into ATS and Over/Under picks using the latest markets.

We'll continue making these predictions throughout the NFL regular season and playoffs. For now, these projections complement our NFL preseason Week 3 picks.

NFL preseason Week 3 AI predictions: Thursday

Steelers vs. Bills AI prediction

Josh Allen is officially sitting out Buffalo's preseason finale, putting the offense in the hands of Kyle Allen and Shane Buechele. Pittsburgh is also keeping Aaron Rodgers out and should devote most of its quarterback work to Drew Allar and Will Howard.

That makes this much more about reserve quarterback stability than either team's regular-season ceiling. Buffalo has the steadier four-quarter setup and gets the edge in a game projected to stay below the current total.

Score prediction: Bills 20, Steelers 13

Patriots vs. Browns AI prediction

Cleveland will be without both Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders, pushing Dillon Gabriel and Taylen Green into the spotlight. New England can counter with Tommy DeVito getting another extended opportunity to run the offense.

The Patriots don't need much explosiveness to justify this projection. Their quarterback setup gives them the higher offensive floor in a game where sustained scoring could be difficult to find.

49ers vs. Raiders AI prediction

Las Vegas still has legitimate evaluation work to complete at quarterback, with Fernando Mendoza and Aidan O'Connell expected to receive meaningful snaps after another brief appearance from Kirk Cousins. The 49ers' reserve offense has shown enough to keep this close, though. Las Vegas gets the narrow straight-up edge, but San Francisco stays inside the number.

Sean McVay will once again keep his established starters on the sideline, but the Rams have an appealing preseason quarterback setup with Stetson Bennett IV and Ty Simpson expected to get another extended audition.

Justin Herbert should see little, if any, meaningful work for the Chargers before Trey Lance and DJ Uiagalelei take over. The Rams' quarterback depth is strong enough to make them one of the better upset candidates on Thursday.

Commanders vs. Ravens AI prediction

Jayden Daniels is expected to get his most important work in joint practices rather than the preseason finale, while Lamar Jackson remains out for Baltimore. That leaves this game largely in the hands of each team's reserves.

Baltimore has offered the steadier defensive profile this preseason and gets a slight advantage in a matchup where neither offense projects to create many explosive opportunities.

Texans vs. Panthers AI prediction

C.J. Stroud is expected to get only a short appearance before Davis Mills and Brett Rypien take over for Houston. Carolina is sitting its starters entirely, putting much of its offense in the hands of Kyle Trask and the players competing for the final roster spots.

The Texans have the obvious early advantage if Stroud plays, but that represents only a small portion of the game. Over four quarters, the model gives Carolina just enough of an edge to pull off the upset at home.

Falcons vs. Dolphins AI prediction

Atlanta is treating the finale more like a dress rehearsal than most teams, with Tua Tagovailoa set to start against his former team while Michael Penix Jr. remains out. Cooper Rush and Jack Strand give the Falcons additional options once Tagovailoa leaves.

Miami will start Malik Willis and continue evaluating its own quarterback depth, but the Falcons have the stronger combination of early-game personnel and reserve stability.

Lions vs. Colts AI prediction

Indianapolis has laid out one of the clearest quarterback plans of the week: Anthony Richardson is expected to start and play the first quarter, Riley Leonard takes the second, and Easton Stick handles the second half while Daniel Jones sits.

Detroit will keep its starters out and turn to Josh Dobbs and Luke Altmyer. Indianapolis' defined rotation provides more offensive upside across four quarters and gives the Colts the advantage at home.

Bears vs. Titans AI prediction

Chicago has little reason to push Caleb Williams after getting its important work completed, leaving much of the finale to Tyson Bagent, Case Keenum, and Miller Moss. Tennessee continues to take a more aggressive preseason approach, with Cam Ward expected to receive another appearance.
