College GameDay is heading to Bloomington, Indiana, for Week 9 with No. 4 Indiana hosting Minnesota on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET (CBS). ESPN's morning show will broadcast from Showalter Fountain on the Indiana campus.

The defending national champions are coming home after surviving an overtime scare at Michigan, and the Golden Gophers just knocked off Iowa with a field goal as time expired. Below, we break down the Halloween matchup, GameDay's return to Bloomington, and how to watch. You can also follow our 2026 College GameDay schedule for every confirmed stop.

Where is College GameDay in Week 9?

ESPN announced Sunday that College GameDay will visit Bloomington for Indiana's homecoming game against Minnesota with the Hoosiers putting a 7-1 record and top-five ranking on the line against the visiting 5-2 Gophers.

Why is College GameDay going to Bloomington?

Indiana quarterback Josh Hoover didn't have much room to work at Michigan, but he delivered when the Hoosiers needed him most. He finished with just 81 passing yards, including a 21-yard completion to tight end Brock Schott in overtime that set up his winning touchdown run in a 13-6 victory. Indiana's defense made that escape possible with four sacks and 11 tackles for loss, helping secure the program's first win in Ann Arbor since 1967.

Minnesota knows a little about winning ugly, too. The Gophers managed only 209 yards against Iowa but forced four turnovers and won 13-10 on kicker Luke Drzewiecki's 46-yard field goal as time expired. Quarterback Drake Lindsey's late 39-yard completion to receiver Jalen Smith set up the winner. That gives P.J. Fleck's team a timely confidence boost before visiting another top-10 opponent.

There's some history for Indiana to overcome here: Minnesota has claimed the last four meetings, most recently a 35-14 win in Bloomington in 2021. The Hoosiers are a very different program under Curt Cignetti, though, and a homecoming visit from GameDay gives them another chance to show how far they've come.

Who will win Minnesota vs. Indiana?

Percentages courtesy of Kalshi. For help understanding Kalshi probabilities, see our odds calculator.

Indiana is a clear favorite on Kalshi, one of the best prediction market apps, with a 91% chance to win compared to Minnesota's 9%. The Hoosiers have the defense to justify that confidence, but their offense has more to prove after scoring 28 points across the last two games.

Keep an eye on Hoover's recovery after he played through an injury against Michigan. Cignetti said Monday that he expects his quarterback to be healthier and play better against Minnesota, and Indiana needs more from its passing game to keep the Gophers from crowding the line of scrimmage. Running backs Turbo Richard and Lee Beebe Jr. combined for 124 rushing yards in Ann Arbor; another productive afternoon from that pair would help take the pressure off Hoover.

If Minnesota wants to spoil homecoming, it'll need to give Lindsey manageable downs and avoid letting Indiana's pass rush take over. Running back Darius Taylor can help with that, but the Gophers also need to turn defensive stops into points. They converted just two of 14 third downs against Iowa, and counting on another four takeaways is a risky way to chase a second straight upset.
