Texas vs Georgia Same-Game Parlay for College Football Week 12

Kirby Smart's program has started sluggishly in 2025, but the Bulldogs' second-half prowess continues to give them the edge late in games.

The Georgia Bulldogs’ greatest strength may be their halftime adjustments.

Then again, that is a needed strength because of their greatest weakness: starting games far too slowly.

With the Texas Longhorns utterly desperate to stay in contention for the College Football Playoff, another sluggish Bulldogs’ start would be as noticeable as ever.

My Texas vs. Georgia predictions recognize the Bulldogs’ greatest weakness, as well as their greatest strength.

Our best Texas vs Georgia SGP for Week 12

A loss would all but knock Texas out of the Playoff conversation. The Longhorns know this, and they will not dawdle at kickoff on Saturday night.

Georgia certainly will, as the Bulldogs have been favored by a single possession five times this season. Georgia has trailed in the first half in all five games, trailing at halftime in four of them and tied in the fifth.

The Bulldogs then came back and won four of those games, falling only to Alabama. This is a costly bad habit, but it is also an enjoyable one for us viewers, leading to regular drama from a Georgia team far inferior to its peak to start the decade.

As bettors, this can be a profitable habit. Recognizing Georgia’s greatest strength creates chances to fade the Bulldogs early on, as well as perhaps bet on them live at halftime.

Douglas Farmer spends his days thinking about college football and his nights thinking about the NBA. His betting habits and coverage follow that same pattern. He covered Notre Dame football for various outlets from 2008 to 2024, most notably spending eight seasons as NBC Sports’ beat writer on the Irish. That was also when his gambling focus took off. Knowing there were veteran beat writers with three decades more experience than he had, Douglas found his niche by best recognizing Notre Dame’s standing in each year’s national landscape, a complex tapestry most easily understood and remembered via betting odds.

In 2021, that interest created a freelance opportunity with Covers, a role that eventually led to Douglas joining the company full-time in 2023. In the fall, Douglas will place five or six dozen bets each week, a disproportionate amount via BetRivers because the operator tends to have lines slightly different than the rest of the market. The same can be said of Circa Sports’ futures markets.

While Douglas is an avid NBA fan and covers the league throughout the year, the vast majority of his bets are on college football, because that is the biggest key to sports betting: Know what you do not know.
