The Iowa State Cyclones have dropped four straight and appear to be unraveling. They’ll look to regroup on Saturday when they travel to Fort Worth to take on the 6-2 TCU Horned Frogs.

My Iowa State vs. TCU predictions and college football picks believe the Horned Frogs will keep outside hopes to win the Big 12 alive on November 8.

Iowa State vs TCU prediction

Iowa State vs TCU best bet: TCU -6.5 (-122)

After starting 5-0 and having real hopes for the College Football Playoff, the Iowa State Cyclones have now lost four straight games. Only one of those four games were against a ranked opponent. The TCU Horned Frogs are probably better than three of those four opponents.

The Horned Frogs lost two of three a month ago and likely thought their hopes for the Big 12 were gone. But now after consecutive wins and a schedule that allows them to play two teams ahead of them in the standings, their hopes are back alive if they can win this game.

TCU’s offense is much more explosive than Iowa State's and the Cyclones defense has really fallen apart over their last four games. After allowing an average of 14.2 points per game in their first five games, they have allowed 31.8 over the last four. TCU has scored at least 23 points in every game this season.

The Cyclones are 0-3 against the spread on the road and the Horned Frogs are 3-1 ATS at home. TCU needs this game badly, and they will play like it against a struggling defense.

To add to my best bet, I am going to include both quarterbacks to hit their passing totals.

Josh Hoover averages nearly 300 yards per game, and Rocco Becht has hit this number in three of his last five games.
