CFB Week 9 preview with Andrew Caley and Douglas Farmer

UCLA vs Indiana best bet

Indiana team total Over 38.5 (-115 at FanDuel)

The Hoosiers’ defense limits opponents’ quality drives, giving them up at the third-best rate in the country. Those quicker possessions give Indiana’s offense more chances at scoring. That is part of why the Hoosiers have cleared their team total in five of their last six games. This offense is also firing on all cylinders, led by the No. 1 passing offense in the country in terms of expected points added per dropback.

Mississippi vs Oklahoma best bet

Oklahoma -5.5 (-110 at FanDuel)

Oklahoma is the better team, the home team, enjoys the better quarterback, and the better defense, led by arguably the best defensive line in the country. That should make the Sooners closer to touchdown favorites.

See our full analysis and Rebels/Sooners SGP in our Mississippi vs. Oklahoma predictions.

Virginia vs North Carolina best bet

Virginia -10.5 (-110 at FanDuel)

Bill Belichick’s foray into college football has gone horribly wrong so far, as the Tar Heels sit at 2-4 and have yet to score a win against a power conference opponent. Things only get harder this week as the Tar Heels face their first-ranked opponent in Virginia, which enters this game riding a five-game winning streak.

See our full analysis and Cavaliers/Tar Heels SGP in our Virginia vs. North Carolina predictions.

South Florida vs Memphis best bet

Memphis +5.5 (+100 at FanDuel)

Memphis has some uncertainty at quarterback, but A.J. Hill stepped in capably for injured starter Brendon Lewis and is capable of running the balanced Memphis offense, which can put points on the board against a Bulls defense that’s allowed 26 or more in two of its previous three games.

See our full analysis and Bulls/Tigers SGP in our South Florida vs. Memphis predictions.

Kansas State vs Kansas best bet

Kansas State +3 (-110 at FanDuel)

Kansas State has won 16 straight times over Kansas, and this is the first time the Wildcats have been an underdog in this rivalry since 2009. I'll take the disrespected big brother here.
