CFB Week 10 preview with Andrew Caley and Douglas Farmer

Louisville vs Virginia Tech best bet

Virginia Tech +10.5 (-110 at FanDuel)

Virginia Tech is playing better under an interim head coach, against Jeff Brohm and Louisville that are much better as an underdog; I don't want to lay 10 points on the road with a team playing under pressure to win out and make the ACC Championship Game.

Georgia vs Florida best bet

Georgia -7.5 (-104 at FanDuel)

Early bettors think the Gators will get a little boost in the post-Napier era, but I’m not so sure — to me, the Dawgs are the right side in this rivalry game.

Texas Tech vs Kansas State best bet

Kansas State +7.5 (-120 at FanDuel)

This has the makings of a trap game, as Texas Tech is coming off a 42-0 trouncing of Oklahoma State and the 10th-ranked BYU Cougars — one of two teams ahead of the Red Raiders in the Big 12 standings — is on tap next week.

See our full analysis and Red Raiders/Wildcats SGP in our Texas Tech vs. Kansas State predictions.

Notre Dame vs Boston College best bet

Boston College team total Under 13.5 (-110 at FanDuel)

Notre Dame’s aggressive secondary should feast on the Eagles. Add in how poorly Boston College finishes quality drives — ranking No. 118 in the country at 2.68 points per quality drive — and the Eagles very well might not score a touchdown at all.

Indiana vs Maryland best bet

Maryland team total Under 13.5 (-109 at FanDuel)

The Hoosiers will punish this Maryland team on both sides of the ball. Once they build their lead and force the Terps to become one-dimensional, it will be over for an offense that ranks 104th in available yards, 92nd in quality drive rate, and 106th in points per quality drive.

Virginia vs California best bet

J'Mari Taylor Over 78.5 rushing yards (-114 at FanDuel)

The California Bears have been a run-funnel defense, as they’ve actually been pretty tough in the secondary (14th in EPA per pass). Teams have instead attacked their underwhelming defensive line (136th in stuff rate, 132nd in line yards), and have averaged 4.6 yards per rush doing so.
