Auburn vs Vanderbilt best bet: Vanderbilt -6.5 (-110)
I’m not sure how you can back anything else in this game other than Vanderbilt to cover or the Over, so I’ll go with the former.
As previously mentioned, this will be the first game for the Auburn Tigers since firing head coach Hugh Freeze, but I’m not sure it’ll matter much here. The Dores should comfortably take care of business.
It’ll be the Diego Pavia story, like it’s been for most of the season when Vandy has success. This time it’ll be because of his arm.
Vanderbilt owns a Top 10 offensive profile. It sustains drives at an elite rate and is great through the air (fifth nationally in pass success and sixth in EPA per dropback).
That directly attacks Auburn’s weakest unit: Pass defense. The Tigers rank in the Bottom 40th percentile of college football against the pass. That makes this simple.
That’s especially true because the Auburn defense has been putrid across the board. It'll need to score at least 20 points to remain competitive in this matchup due to the pass-defense issues. The problem? The offense simply can’t do anything.
I’d play this to -7.5.
Auburn vs Vanderbilt same-game parlay
Keeping in line with our thought process for the best bet, we’re taking Diego Pavia to go Over his passing yards. This is one of the worst passing defenses he’s faced in conference play, and the Tigers being strong against the run will dictate the Dores’ throwing the ball even more.
I’ll finish things off with, naturally, taking his No. 1 target in Eli Stowers to go over his receiving yards. He exploded last week with 146 yards through the air, and I expect him to ride that momentum.

For our longshot parlay, I’m starting off with the Under. I simply think so little of this Auburn offense that even if Vandy puts up a good amount of points, I cannot see the Tigers doing their job.
Lastly, I’ll take a shot Pavia’s rushing under for a nice non-correlated boost. Auburn has actually been the number one defense in EPA allowed per rush this year. This number seems a bit high, considering that.
