Elite 8 Parlay Picks: March Madness Predictions for Sunday

The Elite 8 round comes to a close this evening, and we've come up with a high-value parlay including both games. Our college basketball picks are siding with Purdue ML and NC state on the spread while expecting a big game from Zach Edey.

We’re down to four teams vying for two of the remaining Final Four spots in the March Madness bracket, and Sunday’s two-game slate promises to be exciting.

Our first Elite 8 matchup is from the Midwest Region when the No. 2 Tennessee Volunteers meet the No. 1 seed Purdue Boilermakers. The second game of Sunday’s doubleheader pits No. 11 N.C. State Wolfpack against No. 4 Duke Blue Devils in a South Region finale.

Best Elite 8 parlay picks

Jonas Aidoo Under 10.5 points

Zach Edey Over 22.5 points

Purdue moneyline

NC State +7.5

Two things generally happen to opponents playing the Purdue Boilermakers: their bigs have difficulties scoring buckets because they typically wind up in foul trouble.

Tennessee junior forward Jonas Aidoo averages 11.7 points per game but has a massive responsibility on Sunday as one of the primary defenders tasked with stopping Purdue All-American center Zach Edey

Jonas Aidoo has cleared his scoring prop in three of his last five, but Edey is one of the best defenders in the college game, and the Vols junior forward may see fewer minutes if HC Rick Barnes decides to deploy a smaller lineup.

Edey should have a big night as he's scored 22 or more in his last 10 games. Tennessee plays elite defense, but Edey is at a different level, and hacking him doesn’t work, as he makes 70% of his attempts from the charity stripe.

The Boilermakers center scored 23 points in their November meeting, and if that game is a snapshot of what is to come, expect a war on Sunday night. He’ll clear his scoring prop and lead Purdue to a victory over Tennessee.

Our final game is an all-ACC matchup from the South Region and another epic battle between the red-hot No. 11 NC State Wolfpack and No. 4 Duke Blue Devils.

The Wolfpack boast the nation’s second-longest winning streak and have won eight straight on a neutral court. One of those victories was against the Blue Devils in the ACC tourney, but Duke swept the season series and is a large favorite to win this matchup.

N.C. State is 5-0-0 ATS over its last five as the underdog on a neutral court. It's a battle-tested program that began its eight-game run at the ACC tourney and has passed each test with flying colors.

Duke has covered the number in its three March Madness tilts but didn’t face any real adversity until the Sweet 16 game against Houston. The Blue Devils scored 54 points against a Cougars group that was missing All-American point guard Jamal Shead for most of the game, and that’s concerning.

The Wolfpack should have the edge on the glass, and they have held teams to 28% shooting from downtown and stymied Marquette into a 4-for-31 night from deep. They’ve covered their last five as the underdog and should be the fourth leg of a winning parlay ticket.
