The Illinois Fighting Illini will attempt to snap a two-game losing streak when they host the Indiana Hoosiers this afternoon.

The Illini have lost two straight games outright, and I’m taking the streaking Hoosiers to cover in my Indiana vs. Illinois predictions.

Indiana vs Illinois prediction

Indiana vs Illinois best bet: Indiana +10.5 (-116)

Illinois has lost two straight games and is clearly not at full strength, with injuries to both Kylan Boswell and Andrej Stojakovic weighing on the Illini. Both are listed as questionable for today's game and could be limited even if they return.

The depleted Fighting Illini will have to contend with Indiana, which has won five of its last six — a stretch that includes two outright wins as an underdog.

The Hoosiers are healthy and surging, and that makes them the pick to cover getting double digits today.

Indiana vs Illinois same-game parlay

I’m taking Lamar Wilkerson to hit his scoring Over after going for 24+ points in each of his last four games, and I’m also picking him to hit Over 2.5 threes — a mark he’s hit in four of his last six outings.

Indiana vs Illinois SGP

  • Indiana +10.5
  • Lamar Wilkerson Over 22.5 points
  • Lamar Wilkerson Over 2.5 threes

Our beyond the arc SGP: Deep shot

The Hoosiers average 10.4 3-pointers made per game, while Illinois allows 8.5 made shots per contest.

That has me looking for a barrage from deep for the Hoosiers in my lottery SGP, with Wilkerson, Dorn, and DeVries all capable of hitting at least three shots from beyond the arc — especially since all three have done so at least twice in their last five games.

Indiana vs Illinois SGP

  • Indiana +10.5
  • Lamar Wilkerson Over 2.5 threes
  • Nick Dorn Over 2.5 threes
  • Tucker DeVries Over 2.5 threes

Indiana vs Illinois odds

  • Spread: Indiana +10.5 | Illinois -10.5
  • Moneyline: Indiana +475 | Illinois -650
  • Over/Under: Over 151.5 | Under 151.5

Since joining Covers in 2022, Ed has offered his sports betting analysis primarily on MLB, NFL, college football, and college basketball games, but is willing to take on any sport.

His betting strategy focuses more on finding line value based on deviations from the market rather than traditional handicapping, primarily shopping between DraftKings, FanDuel, and Fanatics in his home state of Connecticut, though he’s not afraid to do deep game analysis to find profitable bets at any book.

Outside of gambling, Ed is an avid curler who competes in mixed doubles on the World Curling Tour and runs a popular curling YouTube channel, Chess on Ice. That experience has come in handy during the Olympics, when he has proven to be a successful curling bettor as well.

Ed's advice to new bettors is to always open multiple sportsbook accounts and check the odds at each before placing any bet. Successful sports betting is about consistently beating the closing line value, which requires finding spots where one book is offering odds far better than the rest of the market and jumping on those opportunities.
