The Toronto Raptors have cooled off after a red-hot run that saw them win nine games in a row.

It’s not a coincidence Toronto’s offense has fallen off since RJ Barrett went down with his knee injury, and my Trail Blazers vs. Raptors predictions expect another low-scoring affair tonight against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Here are my NBA picks for December 2.

Trail Blazers vs Raptors prediction

Trail Blazers vs Raptors best bet: Under 231.5 (-110)

The Toronto Raptors were averaging 121 points per game with Barrett in the lineup, but since he went down, that average has fallen to 101.3 over the last four games. Coincidence? I think not.

While scoring has been difficult without the Maple Mamba, the Raptors are still giving their all on the other end of the floor and enter this matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers ranking fifth in the NBA in defensive rating. So, it’s no wonder the Under is 4-0 in those four games without Barrett.

They’ll make life tough on a Blazers squad dealing with its own injury problems. Jrue Holiday, Scoot Henderson, and Matisse Thybulle are all out, while Donovan Clingan is questionable.

Overall, the Blazers are in a rough patch, dropping seven of their last nine games, and enter this game ranked 19th in offensive rating.

With both teams dealing with injuries and struggling to score, this total of 231.5 is too high.

Trail Blazers vs Raptors same-game parlay

One player who is expected back for the Raptors is starting center Jakob Poeltl, who sat out last game against the Knicks. Poeltl is averaging 10.5 points per game, and I love him to have a big game in this matchup, especially if Clingan sits.

With all the injuries the Blazers have had to deal with, Jerami Grant has tried to do it all, which includes getting his teammates involved. He’s averaging 3.0 assists over his last 13 games, dishing out three or more dimes seven times over that stretch.

Trail Blazers vs Raptors SGP

  • Under 231.5
  • Jakob Poeltl Over 10.5 points
  • Jerami Grant Over 2.5 assists

Our "from downtown" SGP: Dimes for days

If the Raptors want to get back on track, they’ll need to play team basketball and move the ball well. Brandon Ingram averages 3.7 assists per game this season and has topped 3.5 assists in five of his last seven games.

Trail Blazers vs Raptors SGP

  • Under 231.5
  • Jakob Poeltl Over 10.5 points
  • Jerami Grant Over 2.5 assists
  • Brandon Ingram Over 3.5 assists

Trail Blazers vs Raptors odds

  • Spread: Trail Blazers +5 | Raptors -5
  • Moneyline: Trail Blazers +180 | Raptors -220
  • Over/Under: Over 231.5 | Under 231.5
