The heat is on in Las Vegas as the NBA 2K26 Summer League has been underway this month, showcasing some of the youngest and brightest talent from rookies looking to make a splash to sophomores and G League talent aiming for a bounce in their game.

Tonight we'll target the Pelicans taking on the Thunder, the Sixers facing the Mavericks, and a nightcap with the Wizards and Jazz going head-to-head.

Let's dive into the NBA Summer League odds with my free picks and predictions for Wednesday, July 16.

NBA Summer League predictions

Thunder moneyline (-420 at bet365)

If the Oklahoma City Thunder's championship end to the 2024-25 NBA season was an indicator of the energy that their Summer League team would be on, then consider yourselves warned.

The Thunder are 3-0 and sit at the top of the standings for the Vegas showcase amongst other undefeated teams such as the Clippers, Hornets, Timberwolves, just to name a few.

But it's OKC that will go 4-0 after tonight's matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans, who sit at the very bottom of the standings with no wins to their name as of yet.

Take the Thunder's moneyline in this one as their opponent to struggling to find their identity throughout the offseason competition.

76ers -6 (-110 at bet365)

As two teams with matching 1-2 records thus far in Summer League, it's the Philadelphia 76ers' spread that I'm banking on tonight over the Dallas Mavericks.

Dallas enters this matchup riding a two-game losing slump. In most cases, I'd back the underdog to get their way out of a rut, but that won't be the case here, even with the Mavs sitting Cooper Flagg for the remainder of the tournament.

The Sixers outscore the Mavs with a 79.3-point average throughout the tournament, as opposed to Dallas' 75-point average, which includes a pair of games with Flagg. Not only that, but Philadelphia is far better in the paint and in producing second chance points.

Philly is more dominant in nearly every way, and I'll gladly lay the points with the Sixers.

Jazz -2 (-110 at bet365)

The Utah Jazz are still looking for their first win in Summer League action, and tonight will be the moment they've been waiting for.

The Jazz will face the Washington Wizards (1-2), and though they may run neck-and-neck records-wise, it's Utah with the advantage statistically.

When it comes to scoring, rebounding, and assists, the Jazz take the cake over Washington. They're also ahead of the Wizards when it comes to points in the paint (42 to 36 per game) and second chance point (11.7 to 9 per game).

Expect Duke alum Kyle Filipowski to have a standout performance and lead the Jazz to a much-needed victory.
