Pelicans vs Mavericks best bet: Trey Murphy III Over 18.5 points (-120)
The New Orleans Pelicans may be sitting at 2-13 on the season and far out of playoff contention, but Trey Murphy III is certainly doing his part. The 25-year-old has been balling in 2025-26, averaging 19.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per night.
Murphy is averaging 23.1 PPG in November, with several awe-inspiring performances. He has cashed the Over in points in seven of his last nine appearances, most recently showing out for 23 points on Wednesday in a loss to the Denver Nuggets.
Although he did score only 11 points against the Dallas Mavericks earlier this month, Murphy has been on fire since that game, and he’s torched several top-notch opponents, including the Los Angeles Lakers for 35 points and the Golden State Warriors for 20.
For what it’s worth, he’s also scoring 22.3 PPG against Southwest Division opponents as well. I’ll take Murphy to give Dallas the business tonight.

Jose Alvarado has cashed the Over in points in four of his last seven and, most importantly, he posted 13 points against Dallas on November 5 at the American Airlines Arena.
