Against the Spread (ATS) Pick

The Pacers have lost three games in a row and five of their last six, but one would imagine they’re viewing this contest as a get-right opportunity, even with their opponent having some of the biggest superstars in the World. Four of the last five losses for Indiana have come against opponents that play good defense, with the team having come up short against Philadelphia, Milwaukee, New Orleans and Utah. Now, the Pacers will face a Nets team that really doesn’t guard anybody.

While Brooklyn has all-world offensive players like James Harden and Kyrie Irving — and Kevin Durant, who is out due to COVID-19 protocols — the team hasn’t been able to figure out how to play defense. Durant, who is an excellent two-way player, will help upon his return, but the Nets might continue to struggle for now. Brooklyn is coming off a loss to Detroit on Tuesday night, and the Pistons just might be the worst team in basketball. Meanwhile, this Pacers team has a couple of bonafide studs, with Malcolm Brogdon, Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner all having excellent seasons.

Look for both Brogdon and Sabonis to dominate this game offensively, as both players will face little resistance. The Nets do not have a legitimate rim protector right now, which means Brogdon will be able to get to the basket with ease, and Sabonis will be able to take his time and make plays.

PREDICTION: Pacers +2.5 (-110)

Over/Under Pick

This total is definitely a bit high for a game that’s missing quite a number of key players, but the reality is that the Over is just going to be the right side until the Nets prove they can play some defense. Since Brooklyn traded for James Harden, 11 of the team’s 13 games have gone Over the total.

The Pacers happen to be a good offensive team, as they are 12th in the league in offensive rating, while also being middle of the pack on the defensive end. Both of these teams should be able to score with ease tonight.

PREDICTION: Over 234.5 (-110)

Player Prop Pick

Since the Nets dealt Jarrett Allen in the Harden trade, the team has really struggled to contain skilled big men. In fact, in a loss to the Pistons last night, Brooklyn allowed Detroit’s Mason Plumlee to go for 14 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists in 38 minutes of action.

Now, the Nets face Sabonis, who has proven to be one of the best passing bigs in basketball in Nate Bjorkgren’s offense. Look for Domas’ fingertips to be all over this one for Indiana.

PREDICTION: Domantas Sabonis Over 17.5 Rebounds + Assists (+100)

Pacers vs Nets Betting Card
