James produced just 11 points to go with his 12 assists, and though he logged 30 minutes, he attempted only seven shots, far below his career average of 19.6. James became the first player in league history to play in a 23rd season, and he may take a step back on offense.
The Los Angeles Lakers superstar is nearly 41 years old, and he’s put a lot of miles on his legs. Combine his age, wear-and-tear, and passing of the torch to Luka Doncic, and you’ve got a recipe for lower scoring and stable assist numbers.
The Utah Jazz have allowed the second-most points and most assists per game to opponents. Sunday’s matchup has a point total of 243.5. In a high-scoring game with a favorable matchup, I expect King James to easily dish out seven or more dimes.
