Cleveland steamrolled Philadelphia on Friday, but the Knicks present a much bigger test Saturday. New York comes in rested, holds an edge on the boards, and offers several intriguing player prop opportunities against a Cavaliers team playing on consecutive nights.

Saturday's Knicks vs. Cavaliers prediction features a rematch of last season's Eastern Conference Finals, but Cleveland enters at a disadvantage.

New York is a 5.5-point road favorite for the November 7 showdown at Rocket Arena, tipping off at 8 p.m. ET. With the Cavs playing on consecutive nights, I'm targeting NYK and two player props.

Knicks vs Cavaliers prediction: Knicks -5.5

Give me the defending NBA champion New York Knicks -5.5, up to 6.5, with Saturday's meeting against the Cleveland Cavaliers shaping up similarly to last season's Eastern Conference Finals (ECF)

The Cavs are on the second night of a back-to-back after beating Philadelphia 119-95 in Friday's NBA Cup game, while New York hasn't played since Wednesday. Despite the blowout, Cleveland's starters still logged fourth-quarter minutes because point differential matters in NBA Cup tiebreakers.

That makes fatigue a concern for a short-handed Cavaliers team. Jarrett Allen missed Friday, and guard Sam Merrill replaced him in the starting five before exiting early with an elbow injury. Both are questionable Saturday.

Also, I want to fade the Cavs after their win last night because the Sixers were winning too many close games and due for a loss.

Knicks vs Cavaliers combo

The biggest concern with pairing a favorite's spread with opposing player props is blowout risk, but I'm comfortable with that here.

New York has a rebounding advantage that should translate into more possessions and second-chance points, particularly if Allen sits. That also gives New York guard Landry Shamet more opportunities to capitalize on his expanded role without needing an unusually efficient shooting night.

On Cleveland's side, James Harden's perimeter volume shouldn't necessarily suffer if New York builds a lead. In fact, a negative game script could force the Cavs to rely more heavily on his outside shooting.

I'm getting three different angles that don't necessarily work against each other. I'm risking 0.25u.

Knicks vs Cavaliers combo

  • New York -5.5
  • Landry Shamet Over 9.5 points
  • James Harden Over 2.5 made threes

Knicks vs Cavaliers player props

 TOP PICK
Knicks player prop: Landry Shamet Over 9.5 points

I just have a feeling New York SG Landry Shamet's Over 9.5 points prop is good up to 57%.

Shamet is replacing an injured Josh Hart in NYK's starting lineup, so he should play big minutes. Shamet has scored 13+ points in all three games this season in which he's played at least 25 minutes.

Last season, he scored 10+ points in 13 of 17 games with at least 25 minutes. In the 2026 ECF, Shamet averaged 15.0 points on 81.8% shooting for Games 3-4 in Cleveland.

That said, Shamet's 3+ made threes (38%) and 15+ points (23%) are good looks, too.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Shamet will be an afterthought for Cleveland’s defense because of New York’s other firepower. The Knicks rank fourth in shot quality, according to CleaningTheGlass.com, so Shamet should get a lot of good looks Saturday.

Cavaliers player prop: James Harden Over 2.5 made threes

I'm going back to the well with James Harden's Over 2.5 made threes prop and I'm willing to play it up to 54%.

This prop cashed for me Friday in the 76ers-Cavaliers game, and regardless of the game state, Harden will get his. The Beard has made exactly three 3-pointers in five consecutive games and seven of his nine games this season.

Granted, Harden only made five 3-pointers in the entire 2026 ECF. But, he hit four 3-pointers in two games against the Knicks last regular season with the Los Angeles Clippers and Cavaliers, and we know Harden doesn't show up in the playoffs.
