The Minnesota Timberwolves will look to snap a three-game losing streak as they come home and host the Boston Celtics on Saturday afternoon.

Boston has seemingly overcome its slow start to the season and I like it to cover on the road tonight in my Celtics vs. Timberwolves predictions.

Let’s take a closer look at what bettors should expect in today’s matchup in my free NBA picks for Saturday, November 29.

Celtics vs Timberwolves prediction

Celtics vs Timberwolves best betCeltics +7 (-110)

The Boston Celtics may have had lower expectations this year due to the ruptured Achilles tendon suffered by Jayson Tatum, but they’ve been playing excellent basketball as of late, winning five of their last six.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Timberwolves are coming home from a disastrous 0-3 road trip where they lost two games outright as favorites before dropping a game to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

That leaves both teams at 10-8 heading into Saturday’s game. The similarities don’t stop there, either.

Sure, Minnesota has been a bit better defensively after adjusting for their faster pace, while Boston has a tad more offensive firepower and plays as one of the slowest teams in the league. But when you add it all up, both enjoy an identical +4.6 point differential on the year.

In the long run, expectations are that the Timberwolves will be the better team, and they have played a tougher schedule overall out west, so their record means a bit more.

But we can’t ignore the fact that this Celtics team just broke the Detroit Pistons’ 13-game winning streak, and that they’ve been a solid .500 team on the road.

There’s not much to separate these two, and while Minnesota deserves to be a home favorite, playing on their own court isn’t enough to justify a 7.5-point spread. I’m taking Boston to cover.

Celtics vs Timberwolves same-game parlay

The Timberwolves have played to the Under eight times in a row now, and I’m taking the Under again here to parlay with the Celtics covering the spread.

I’ll also take Payton Pritchard to hit his scoring total, as he has hit this number in four of his last six games and might get a little more usage with Jaylen Brown dealing with back spasms right now.

Celtics vs Timberwolves SGP

  • Celtics +7
  • Under 227.5
  • Payton Pritchard Over 17.5 points

Our "from downtown" SGP: White keeps leveling up

Derrick White has hit this PRA total in each of his last two games, and is another player who should benefit on the stats sheet if Jaylen Brown is slightly limited due to his back issues.

Celtics vs Timberwolves SGP

  • Celtics +7
  • Under 227.5
  • Payton Pritchard Over 17.5 points
  • Derrick White Over 27.5 points + rebounds + assists

Celtics vs Timberwolves odds

  • Spread: Celtics +6.5 (-110) | Timberwolves -6.5 (-110)

His betting strategy focuses more on finding line value based on deviations from the market rather than traditional handicapping, primarily shopping between DraftKings, FanDuel, and Fanatics in his home state of Connecticut, though he’s not afraid to do deep game analysis to find profitable bets at any book.

Ed's advice to new bettors is to always open multiple sportsbook accounts and check the odds at each before placing any bet. Successful sports betting is about consistently beating the closing line value, which requires finding spots where one book is offering odds far better than the rest of the market and jumping on those opportunities.
