The Philadelphia 76ers roll into Scotiabank Arena as road favorites against the Toronto Raptors, who could be without as many as four starters tonight.

That’ll open up the floor for Tyrese Maxey, who should score with ease for the Sixers.

I’ll break down my Maxey prop and more in my 76ers vs. Raptors predictions and NBA picks for Sunday, January 11.

76ers vs Raptors prediction

76ers vs Raptors best bet: Tyrese Maxey Over 27.5 points (-115)

The Toronto Raptors will be missing RJ Barrett and Jakob Poeltl tonight, and could also be without Scottie Barnes as well as Brandon Ingram, who are both listed as questionable.

Not only has that given the Philadelphia 76ers the edge on the moneyline tonight, but it should also open up the floor for Tyrese Maxey to have a big night in the boxscore.

Maxey leads Philly with 30.7 ppg this season, so a line of 27.5 points is quite generous. The Sixers guard has cleared that number in six of his last seven outings.

Maxey could also get some extra touches tonight with Joel Embiid also questionable to play. Outside of those two, the 76ers don’t have a ton of offensive firepower, so it’ll be on Maxey to up his game.

76ers vs Raptors same-game parlay

If there’s someone else who can step up for Philadelphia, it’s Quentin Grimes. The guard is averaging 14.5 ppg but has had several 20+ point performances when called upon.

He’s also cleared Over 9.5 points in six of his last seven.

The 76ers have covered the spread 61.1% of the time this season — the second-best cover rate in the NBA behind only the Suns (71.1%). With the Raptors heavily undermanned, Maxey and the Sixers should win somewhat comfortably.
