Our 4 best Wild Card MLB player props for Wednesday, October 1
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: Tanner Bibee Under 1.5 earned runs
The Cleveland Guardians are facing elimination today as they take on the Detroit Tigers. Stephen Vogt will put his trust in Tanner Bibee to keep the Guardians’ season alive, and all signs point to him having a solid outing.
Bibee finished the campaign with a stellar 1.30 ERA in September. His last two starts of the regular season came against the Tigers, and he allowed just two earned runs across 12 innings of work. The right-hander went 3-0 against Detroit in 2025 with a 0.95 ERA.
Cleveland couldn’t have a better guy on the mound to silence the Tigers' lineup, and I do believe he’ll carry his brilliance into this do-or-die contest.

Prop #2: Kyle Tucker Over 0.5 RBI
Kyle Tucker has not been the most consistent hitter this season for the Chicago Cubs, but he’s more than capable of producing when the lights are bright, as we’ve seen in the past during his time with the Houston Astros.
The slugger will be looking forward to today’s matchup, as the San Diego Padres send Dylan Cease to the mound.
Tucker is 5-for-13 with two doubles and three RBI all-time vs. Cease. Tucker finished the campaign with 73 RBI, and he collected three RBI in his final four games of the regular season.
Seeing Cease on the hill could instill some much-needed confidence in Tucker.

Prop #3: Carlos Rodon Over 1.5 earned runs
The New York Yankees also have their backs up against the wall tonight after losing Game 1 of the ALWC to the Boston Red Sox. Aaron Boone will be hoping Carlos Rodon can give him a quality start, but his track record against Boston in ‘25 has been poor.
Rodon made three starts against the Red Sox this season, compiling a 5.74 ERA. He allowed 10 earned runs in just 15 2/3 innings. The left-hander also surrendered Over 1.5 earned runs in three of his final four appearances in the regular season.
I’m not saying Rodon won’t rise to the occasion, but this total is too low for me.

Prop #4: Yoshinobu Yamamoto Over 6.5 strikeouts
The Los Angeles Dodgers will be looking to clinch their spot in the NLDS tonight as they take a 1-0 series lead into Game 2 against the Cincinnati Reds.
Japanese phenom Yoshinobu Yamamoto gets the call, and he was fantastic this year. Yamamoto posted a 12-8 record and 2.49 ERA, striking out 201 batters in just 173 2/3 innings of work.
Yamamoto is a swing-and-miss machine, and he's dominated the Reds before. They’re hitting under .200 against him as a lineup, with 15 Ks in just 40 at-bats. He’s also cashed the Over in punchouts in five consecutive outings. Yamamoto finished with 10 strikeouts in three of those starts.
At home, Yamamoto has sat down 83 hitters via the K in 68 innings. He also struck out nine Reds in seven innings earlier this year, allowing just one earned run.
