It’s trade deadline day in the MLB, which is always exciting. Unfortunately, it also means we’ve got a bit of a schedule anomaly with just two night games to bet on. But that doesn’t mean we won’t find value in the MLB player props markets.

Our 3 best MLB player props for Thursday, July 31
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Andrew Abbott Over 17.5 outs (-113 at Pinnacle)
The Cincinnati Reds are still in a fight for a National League Wild Card, and starting pitching will be key. Look at Andrew Abbott, who gets the start today against the visiting Atlanta Braves.
The 26-year-old left-hander is having an impressive year, ranking in the Top 25% in expected ERA and expected opponent batting average.
He’s also been an absolute workhorse, averaging 95.1 pitches and nearly 6 1/3 innings pitched over his last 10 starts, and I expect him to put in some more work tonight.
With all of the injuries and its spot in the standings, Atlanta looks dead in the water at this point in the season. On top of that, the Braves rank 21st in batting average and 17th in OPS and wRC+ vs. left-handed pitching.
Abbott has topped 17.5 outs in seven of his last 10 starts, including the last three in a row overall.

Cal Raleigh Over 0.5 RBI (+130 at BetMGM)
It looks like the Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners will be duking it out for the remainder of the season.
That said, if the Rangers want to keep pace with the Mariners, they’re going to have to slow down the Big Dumper.
With Aaron Judge sidelined, you can make a strong case that Cal Raleigh is the most productive hitter in baseball, with his 41 home runs, 87 RBI, and .972 OPS.
I’m just not sure if Kumar Rocker is the man for the job. While Rocker has flashed his brilliance at times, 2025 has mostly been a struggle for the 25-year-old right-hander. He ranks in the Bottom 10% among qualified MLB pitchers in expected ERA, expected batting average, and expected slugging.
That’s not something you want to struggle with against Raleigh. Seattle’s star slugger has driven in at least one run in four of his last eight games, and at +130, my MLB picks can't pass on the opportunity to back the Big Dumper to drive in another one tonight.

Adolis Garcia Over 0.5 RBI (+200 at DraftKings)
Countering Rocker for the Mariners is George Kirby. While Kirby has not looked as good as he did last year, thanks in part to some injuries, he’s mostly owned this Rangers lineup.
All expect for Adolis Garcia, funnily enough. The Rangers slugger doesn’t hit the ball very often, but when he does, he's been productive as he still has 62 RBI despite a .227 batting average.
He's 6-for-20 with a double and a home run in his career vs. Kirby, which is good for a .310 expected batting average and a .633 expected slugging.
Garcia is expected to be in his usual cleanup spot tonight, so he should have ample opportunities to drive in another run tonight, something he’s done three times in his last five games.
