Rice continues his power surge against the Washington Nationals.

Ben Rice is amidst a crazy power surge, recording at least four total bases in four of his last five games.

He has a mouthwatering matchup against Miles Mikolas on Saturday, making him the headliner for my MLB player props and MLB picks for Saturday, July 11.

Ben Rice Over 1.5 total bases (-136)

Ben Rice is heating up in a big way. He has averaged 4.6 total bases over his last five games, and I’m expecting another productive outing against Miles Mikolas and the Washington Nationals.

Mikolas ranks in the 20th percentile in xSLG vs. left-handed bats. Rice has feasted on pitchers near the bottom of the barrel, recording at least two bases in 12 of 14 games against starters in the 30th percentile or lower.

Rice has elite power, and Mikolas’ inability to miss bats is going to get him in trouble.

Back Rice to -150.

Pete Crow-Armstrong Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBIs (-156)

Pete Crow-Armstrong started the season slowly but he’s definitely living up to expectations now. He has been almost impossible to get out over the last six weeks, recording multiple H+R+R in 28 of his last 39 games. That’s a remarkable 71.8% clear rate.

The good times should continue vs. Nick Lodolo, who has allowed a whopping .321 average and .400 OBP when facing left-handed bats.

With a great matchup against a struggling pitcher at Great American Ballpark, this is not a spot for PCA to take his foot off the gas.

Play to -175.

JJ Wetherholt Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBIs (-112)

Reynaldo Lopez has not fared well against lefties this season, and that’s been especially evident of late. He ranks in the 23rd percentile in xwOBA vs. LHH over his last six starts.

JJ Wetherholt has had a field day in similar spots, clearing 1.5 H+R+R in 14 of 18 games (77.8%) against starting pitchers slotting in the 30th percentile or worse in the six stars prior.

Lopez is very fastball-reliant, and Wetherholt has hit .316 with a .449 wOBA against that pitch.

This is a great spot for Wetherholt to produce. Bet to -140.
