The Philadelphia Phillies will be looking to extend their road winning streak to five tonight when they visit the San Diego Padres at Petco Park.

However, my Phillies vs. Padres predictions and MLB picks are eyeing the hosts to win tonight, with the inconsistent Aaron Nola on the bump for the visitors.

Who will win Phillies vs Padres today: Padres moneyline (-102)

The San Diego Padres have dropped two straight games, but this matchup sets up well for them to bounce back at home.

Aaron Nola takes the mound for the Philadelphia Phillies, carrying a rough 6.04 ERA, and the veteran right-hander has surrendered 13 earned runs across his last three outings. His struggles away from home have also continued, posting a 6.10 ERA on the road this season.

San Diego counters with Randy Vasquez, who owns a solid 2.96 ERA and comes into this outing on extended rest after having his start pushed back.

The Padres bullpen has also been reliable lately, while the Phillies offense has scored three runs or fewer in four consecutive games.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Opponents currently have a .356 BABIP against Aaron Nola, which is the worst mark of his career.

Phillies vs Padres Over/Under pick: Under 7.5 (+100)

Runs have been difficult to come by lately for both the Phillies and Padres, which is why the Under looks appealing again tonight. Four of the last five meetings between these clubs have stayed below the total, and recent offensive form points toward another low-scoring matchup.

Philadelphia has hit the Under in nine of its last 11 games, while San Diego has stayed Under 7.5 in three straight contests. Despite Nola struggling overall this season, he’s historically dominated the Padres lineup, holding current hitters to a .165 average across 79 at-bats.

Both bullpens also enter this matchup with ERAs under 4.00, which should help keep scoring limited late in the game.
