The New York Mets have rebounded nicely following an ugly stretch of play, winning seven of the past 10 games and the first two of this series.

Juan Soto has been a driving force behind their success. My Mets vs. Royals predictions expect another big effort from Soto in the last game before the All-Star break.

Let’s dive deeper into my MLB picks for Sunday, July 13.

Mets vs Royals prediction

My Mets vs Royals best bet: Juan Soto Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-133 at Caesars)

Juan Soto didn’t have the start to the season the New York Mets wanted or expected, but he’s firing on all cylinders now. Soto has averaged 3 H+R+R per game over the last 20, clearing his line at a 65% clip along the way.

He finds himself in a good spot to keep it going Sunday afternoon. Noah Cameron is an impressive young arm, but his underlying numbers suggest he hasn’t pitched quite as well as his surface stats indicate.

Soto is also very dangerous against left-handed pitching. He leads the Mets in hits, RBI, OPS, barrel rate, and wOBA vs. lefties.

He has a great eye at the plate and, in his current form, is taking advantage of pretty much every mistake made against him.

Soto was not thrilled about missing the All-Star game, and this is his last chance to prove he belongs before the break.

Caesars QuickPick: Our Mets vs Royals same-game parlay (SGP)

Juan Soto Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs

Maikel Garcia Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs

Pete Alonso Over 1.5 Total Bases

Death, taxes, and Maikel Garcia at home. He leads the Kansas City Royals in batting average on home soil while sitting tied with Bobby Witt Jr. for 1st in total hits.

Clay Holmes is having a very nice season, but he’s allowed 11 earned runs over his last four starts, and Sean Manaea will be making his first MLB appearance behind him. This is a spot where Garcia could make noise.

Pete Alonso leads all Mets players in extra-base hits and slugging percentage when playing on the road. While he doesn’t hit lefties nearly as well, he still leads the Mets in barrel rate against left-handed pitching. He has the power to do it with one swing.
