My Mariners vs Twins best bet: Luis Castillo Over 2.5 earned runs allowed (-120 at DraftKings)
⚾ Pick Analysis
Luis Castillo is having a respectable campaign for the Seattle Mariners, going 4-5 with a 3.38 ERA in 15 starts. He’s struck out 72 in 85 1/3 innings of work while walking just 28.
However, Castillo has surrendered Over 2.5 earned runs in three of his last five outings, and also in two of his previous three.
The right-hander pitches substantially worse away from T-Mobile Park. His ERA balloons to 4.59, with opponents hitting .297 against him.
The Minnesota Twins’ lineup has a lot of experience versus Castillo, batting .221 across 90 at-bats. Not great, but they’re better offensively at home compared to on the road.
The home run ball has been a major issue for Castillo lately as well, allowing seven across his last three starts.
I’ll take the Twins to score some runs off Castillo this evening after putting up only two runs on Monday night.

One player in this Minnesota lineup with an impressive track record against Castillo is Harrison Bader. He’s faced him many times before, going 6-for-22 lifetime with a pair of doubles. Bader has at least one hit in three of his last five contests as well.
Julio Rodriguez has at least one hit in four straight contests and just went 2-for-5 on Monday with a home run and four RBIs. While he’s only hitting .254 for the season, J-Rod is batting .286 in June.
He’ll also like tonight’s matchup as the Twins send Chris Paddack to the bump. Rodriguez is 2-for-5 against the righty lifetime. Paddack has been tagged lately, allowing 12 earned runs across his previous two starts.
