The Seattle Mariners head into today's series finale against the Texas Rangers as a -127 moneyline favorite, with George Kirby on the hill.

My Mariners vs. Rangers predictions expect Seattle to live up to expectations and take the rubber match as the vulnerable Kumar Rocker takes the mound for the hosts.

Read more in my MLB picks for Monday, July 27.

Who will win Mariners vs Rangers today: Mariners moneyline (-131)

George Kirby has been in strong form for the Seattle Mariners. Across his last three appearances, the right-hander owns a 2.71 FIP, surrendering just 0.90 HR/9 and 0.90 BB/9

Kirby has also pitched better on the road, posting a 2.82 FIP compared to a 3.56 mark at T-Mobile Park.

On the other side, Kumar Rocker owns a 4.05 xERA in his last four outings. While that's not horrible, the Texas Rangers youngster has given up 1.64 HR/9 during that span.

I do not expect this to be an offensive explosion for Seattle, but Kirby gives them the edge on the mound.

I'll play this pick up to -140.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The Mariners have produced a 102 wRC+ over the last week, a clear step up from their season-long 93 wRC+ mark on the road.

Mariners vs Rangers Over/Under pick: Over 7.5 (-121)

Today’s total is a modest 7.5, and I’m seeing value in the Over. Both offenses have posted a wRC+ above 100 over the last week, giving this matchup enough current form to clear a lower number.

The bigger angle is the bullpen setup. Seattle’s relief corps owns a 5.02 xERA over its last 17 frames while allowing 1.59 HR/9, while the Texas pen has posted a 4.29 FIP over the last two weeks with a 7.07 ERA.

Every game in this series has cashed the Over already, and there are multiple paths to eight or more runs here.

I’ll play this pick up to -135.

Mariners vs Rangers weather

Conditions will be scorching in Arlington this afternoon, with partly cloudy skies and temperatures climbing from the upper 90s to around 102°F. Winds should sit around 8–9 mph, with no rain concern. If the roof is open, the extreme heat could slightly help carry, but weather impact is muted if it’s closed.
