The total moved from 7.5 to 8.5, and it's now 8 (Over -120), with 77 percent of bets/70 percent of cash on the Over.

Starting pitchers
Anthony DeSclafani (8-2, 2.77 ERA): The veteran is having a banner debut season in San Fran, pitching to a 1.00 WHIP with an opponent batting average of .199 in 15 starts.
He's coming off an excellent outing against the Angels, where he allowed three hits and struck out nine batters in seven innings of shutout ball.
Trevor Bauer (7-5, 2.57 ERA): Last year's NL Cy Young Award winner has hit a bit of a rough patch over the last month. While Bauer's season-long numbers are still impressive, he has struggled with his control lately. And with the league cracking down on foreign substances used by pitchers, his spin rate has seen a rapid reduction.
In his last start, Bauer fanned 10 batters, but also had four walks and allowed three runs in six innings against the Padres.

The Dodgers are 13-6 in their last 19 games overall and will send ace Trevor Bauer to the mound tonight. However, Bauer hasn't exactly been unhittable lately, with the Dodgers going 2-4 in his last six starts with the right-hander pitching to a 3.55 ERA and 1.32 WHIP over that span.
It's difficult to tell just how much the umpires' crackdown on the sticky stuff will affect Bauer, and it's tough to trust him 100 percent until we know, especially when he's facing off against one of the hottest hitting teams in the majors. Over the last four weeks, the Giants are second in the majors with an OPS of .810 while plating 5.29 runs per game.
The Dodgers have an OPS of .751 over that time span, and while they teed off against DeSclafani earlier this year, the Giants starter has still impressed this season. DeSclafani has been on fire this month, allowing just 14 hits and three earned runs through 27 innings across four starts.
With the Giants going 15-4 in their last 19 away games and going 6-0 in DeSclafani's previous six starts, back them at plus money.

Over/Under pick
These teams have been productive at the plate, and there are some question marks about how effective DeSclafani can be against the Dodgers and how Bauer will adjust to the new rules. That said, the total opening at 9 seemed disrespectful to a pair of starters who rank in the Top 20 of the majors in both ERA and WHIP.
While the Over/Under quickly moved down to 8, that still might be a tick too high. Keep in mind that eight of DeSclafani's last 12 starts and nine of Bauer's previous 15 starts have seen a total of 7.5 or lower.
Even with Bauer's recent shaky play, he has still allowed three runs or fewer in 14 of his last 15 starts, and two runs or fewer in 11 of those contests. And DeSclafani has allowed just one earned run in his last 24 innings pitched.
The Under is 6-0-2 in the Dodgers' last eight games at home, while the Under has cashed in six of the Giants last seven games on the road.
