The Chicago Cubs hit Oracle Park to start a three-game set against the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday, August 26.

Chicago has won eight of its past 10 games, and my top MLB picks and Cubs vs. Giants predictions are calling for another win for the North Siders tonight.

Read on for my MLB picks for Tuesday, August 26.

Cubs vs Giants prediction

Cubs vs Giants best bet: Cubs -1.5 run line (+122)

I’m expecting a solid showing from Chicago Cubs lefty Matthew Boyd tonight. The San Francisco Giants have the lowest wOBA in the majors and the fourth-highest strikeout percentage against southpaws, and Boyd’s impressed all season with a 2.61 ERA and 1.04 WHIP.

Boyd has also allowed two runs or fewer in 12 of his past 15 starts.

The Chicago lineup should also have success against San Fran veteran Justin Verlander.

Verlander was teed up for seven runs across just 4 1/3 innings during his last start and is up to a 4.64 ERA and 1.44 WHIP for the campaign.

Of course, the Cubbies also send a high-end lineup to the dish ranking seventh in wOBA and sixth in ISO against righties. Chicago has also heated up with an active 8-2 record.

Cubs vs Giants same-game parlay (SGP)

As noted, the Giants strikeout in bunches against lefties, and Boyd has fanned five or more batters in six of his past nine starts.

Turning to Chicago youngsters Pete Crow-Armstrong and Michael Busch, they’ve both been excellent against right-handed arms this season with respective .374 and .381 wOBAs.

So, with Verlander serving up a healthy .342 wOBA and .276 batting average to left-handed hitters, I’m anticipating Crow-Armstrong and Busch to fill up the box score tonight.
