The Los Angeles Dodgers are a great team, but they haven't been playing like one lately.
Dave Roberts' squad is in a prolonged slump (89 wRC+ this month). Pair that with a faulty bullpen (4.81 xFIP) that cost them Thursday's series opener, and it's evident why they've dropped nine of their last 13 games.
The market is still pricing them like the World Series odds favorite Death Star they're typically viewed as, but it's the dog days of August, and this team is going through it.
I'd play the Milwaukee Brewers down to +160.

Neither lineup has been hitting with aplomb, ranking 20th (L.A.) and 21st (Milwaukee) in wRC+ this month.
Given the Dodgers' bullpen struggles, they'll hope for a lengthy outing from Yoshinobu Yamamoto. He's in great form, posting a 2.12 ERA and 0.83 WHIP since May 18 while limiting hitters to a .167 AVG.
The recent uptick in Gasser's Pitching+ metrics is notable, and it's difficult for markets to price that effectively. He's been hurling his four-seamer (109 Stuff+), sinker (107), and slider (128) all well above average in his last six outings.
The bullpen behind him has been fantastic (3.10 SIERA, 3.28 xFIP this month), so Milwaukee has a strong chance of run suppression.

Teoscar Hernandez has a 121 wRC+ and .179 ISO against southpaws, so he's a strong culprit to dole out damage. He's a bit undervalued after slumping throughout July, and he's shown signs of the old Teoscar in August (.194 ISO).
