The Chicago Cubs staved off elimination in Game 3, and they’re right back on the diamond against the Milwaukee Brewers at Wrigley Field on Thursday, October 9.

My top Brewers vs. Cubs predictions and MLB picks are calling for Chicago first baseman Michael Busch to keep the good times rolling at the dish tonight.

Brewers vs Cubs Game 4 predictions

Who will win Brewers vs Cubs Game 4

Unless the Chicago bats heat up, Milwaukee will end this series tonight. The Brewers have the more rested bullpen, and the Brew Crew has been the far better team at the dish through three games. My lean is Milwaukee hosts Game 1 of the NLCS and not Game 5 against Chicago next.

Brewers vs Cubs best bet

Michael Busch Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI (-102)

I expect to see Milwaukee Brewers righty Freddy Peralta and Chicago Cubs lefty Matthew Boyd take the mound after both teams were silent about the starters during postgame press conferences and locker room interviews following Wednesday's Game 3.

Chicago first baseman Michael Busch has followed up his breakout regular season campaign with three solo home runs, a .300 batting average, and .452 wOBA through six postseason games.

He also hit his third career home run off Peralta in Game 1 on Saturday, and the two have faced each other 23 times, so there is growing familiarity.

Busch posted a high-end .385 wOBA, .281 ISO and .910 OPS against righties during the regular season, and he’s been a staple in the leadoff spot for months.

Brewers vs Cubs Game 4 same-game parlay (SGP)

Chicago star Kyle Tucker hasn’t been flashy this postseason, with a .250 batting average and .300 wOBA, but he sports a career .556 on-base percentage against Peralta across 18 at-bats. Of course, Tucker has also posted an impressive .380 wOBA, .237 ISO and .900 OPS against righties over the past three years.

The move to Milwaukee has been a blessing for first baseman Andrew Vaughn, and he’s already homered off Boyd in this series. Vaughn has teed off on lefties for an otherworldly .460 wOBA and 1.064 OPS since joining the Brew Crew, too.

Brewers vs Cubs SGP

  • Michael Busch Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI
  • Kyle Tucker Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI
  • Andrew Vaughn Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI

Brewers vs Cubs home run pick for Game 4

Michael Busch (+475)

Busch put up a .281 ISO with 30 of his 34 home runs coming against right-handed pitchers during the regular season, and has three career homers vs. Peralta.
