The Atlanta Braves will be feeling confident with Tyler Mahle on the bump. The trade deadline acquisition is dealing, posting a 2.75 xERA across his last two starts with pinpoint command while holding opponents to 0.69 HR/9.
That's a tremendous profile against a Houston Astros offense that has just an 81 wRC+ in the last week. Mahle will be a tough matchup for the hosts.
Peter Lambert counters for Houston, and while he's in respectable form lately, the Braves are swinging it very well. The NL East leaders have a 115 wRC+ in their previous seven contests.
With Mahle holding his own and Atlanta producing at the dish, the visitors have the edge.

The Astros' relief corps owns a concerning 6.46 FIP over the last week while surrendering 2.52 HR/9. That's a nightmare against a Braves lineup that's swinging the bats well.
Atlanta's bullpen has been slightly better, but not by much. They've compiled a 4.74 FIP over the same span while allowing 1.48 HR/9.
Even if the starters keep things relatively quiet early, both offenses have a clear path to doing damage once the bullpens take over.

Matt Olson is worth a look tonight. He's slugged two homers in his last seven games, and the underlying numbers certainly jump off the page.
Olson has a 63.6% hard-hit rate, 13.6% barrel rate in the last week, and a 45.5% fly ball rate. Lambert hasn't allowed many bombs lately, but he is fly ball prone, and of course, Houston's bullpen is giving up a ton of home runs right now.
The veteran has a real chance at another long ball.
