Jacob deGrom is once again looking like an ace and he'll take the mound as the Texas Rangers host the Toronto Blue Jays to kick off a three-game set.

My Blue Jays vs. Rangers predictions like the Over on his strikeouts prop against a Toronto team struggling on offense.

I break it all down with a full slate of MLB picks for Monday, May 26.

Blue Jays vs Rangers prediction

My Blue Jays vs Rangers best bet: Jacob deGrom Over 6.5 strikeouts (-105 at Caesars)

After several years of constant injury problems, Jacob deGrom is healthy again, and he’s dealing. The right-hander is 4-1 in 10 starts, posting a 2.33 ERA. He’s struck out 62 in 58 innings of work while walking just 12 hitters.

The veteran has always had swing-and-miss stuff, and it’s been on full display. He’s gone Over his strikeout total in three consecutive outings, racking up nine, seven, and 10 strikeouts during that span. Those were all against good lineups, too. He faced the Yankees, Astros, and Tigers.

Regarding this current Toronto Blue Jays lineup, they only have 11 total at-bats against deGrom, but Toronto is batting a mere .091 with nine punchouts. deGrom’s ERA sits at 1.47 at home, striking out 33 in 36 2/3 frames.

He’ll keep it rolling and make Toronto's life difficult in the series opener.

Caesars QuickPick: Our Blue Jays vs Rangers same-game parlay (SGP)

Jacob deGrom Over 6.5 strikeouts

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 0.5 hits

Marcus Semien Over 0.5 hits

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. may not be smacking many homers, but he’s swinging it well. He’s hitting .276 with seven long balls and 23 RBI. The slugger is better offensively away from Rogers Centre, batting .292 compared to .262 at home.

He's cashed the Over in hits in five of his last seven games and just had a hit in back-to-back contests against the Rays. He’s 1-for-3 lifetime against deGrom as well. I could see him getting a base knock at the very least today.

Marcus Semien is having a forgettable offensive season for the Rangers. The former Blue Jay is hitting just .176 with three bombs. While Semien is a solid defender, he’s simply not getting it done at the dish. However, the veteran has cashed the Over in hits in four of his previous six games.

Semien was 1-for-4 on Sunday in a win over the White Sox, and playing his former team today always brings another level of motivation. Semien is also 6-for-28 (.214) against Gausman.
