The Toronto Blue Jays look to keep the good vibes rolling as they aim to win their fourth game in a row this afternoon when the Birds host the Cleveland Guardians for the second game of this weekend series.
Toronto is sending ace Kevin Gausman to the mound. Meanwhile, Cleveland will have right-hander Gavin Williams on the bump, trying to cool down the suddenly red-hot Toronto bats.
The Jays are heating up offensively, with 16 runs over their last three games after averaging less than two runs per game in the previous nine games.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is leading the way for Toronto’s offense, who’s currently on a five-game hitting streak with two homers and five RBI over that stretch. Moreover, the Jays slugger has collected 2+ total bases in four of the five games, averaging 2.6 bases per game.
