The red-hot Phillies face off against the A's on Saturday night, and we have a whopping total of 10 for that contest.

You can bet on a run to be scored in the first inning at close to a pick'em price, which I'm betting on with my favorite MLB picks today.

Check out my other best YRFI and NRFI bets for May 24 below.

NRFI/YRFI bets for May 24

Padres at Braves: NRFI  (-112 at ProphetX)

The Atlanta Braves got a big boost with the return of Ronald Acuna Jr. last night, but I'm fading their offense early today.

They'll face Michael King, who has become an elite starter since moving from the bullpen with the San Diego Padres last year.

The righty has a 2.59 ERA through 10 starts and has been lights out in the opening frame, pitching to a 0.90 ERA with an OBA of .125.

Atlanta will send sophomore Grant Holmes to the hill. The southpaw has a mediocre 4.01 ERA through nine starts but has been solid in the first inning, where opponents are batting just .138 against him.

The Padres have struggled to hit lefties (.682 OPS). They've also been ice-cold at the dish lately, ranking 23rd in the majors in OPS (.684) over the last 30 days.

Philles at Athletics: YRFI  (Play at ProphetX)

The Philadelphia Phillies are second in the majors in run first inning percentage (37.3%) while the Athletics are 11th (30.8%).

Both teams have lefties on the hill today in Cristopher Sanchez and Jeffrey Springs, and both lineups crush southpaws. The Phillies lead the majors in batting average (.280) against lefties while the A's rank third (.276).

Sanchez has been impressive, but he doesn't always get off to great starts, pitching to a 5.00 ERA with an OBA of .278 in the first inning.

Meanwhile, Springs has a 3.91 ERA through 10 starts. He's been torched in the opening frame, pitching to a woeful 11.70 ERA with an OBA of .318.

Dodgers at Mets: YRFI  (Play at ProphetX)

New York Mets lefty David Peterson has a 2.86 ERA through nine starts. That said, his xERA is significantly worse at 3.99, and he sits in the Bottom 20th percentile in hard-hit rate and average exit velocity.

The Los Angeles Dodgers plate a run in the first inning at the second highest-rate (37.3%). They also rank second in slugging (.465), with that number bumping up to .484 against southpaws.

L.A. starter Tony Gonsolin struggled in 2023 before missing all last year due to Tommy John surgery. He has a 4.05 ERA through four starts while pitching to a 6.75 ERA in the first inning.

Gonsolin will have a tough time navigating the top of the Mets lineup, which has Francisco Lindor, Juan Soto, and Pete Alonso.
